Anandan Sivasundaram
Founder
Shivani Engineers and Contractors was born out of the vision of Anandan Sivasundaram, a determined Civil Engineering technocrat who graduated from Shanmugha College of Engineering (now known as SASTRA Deemed University). With a dream to make an impact in the construction industry, Anand founded the company in 1994, driven by his passion for engineering and entrepreneurship.
Starting from modest roots in rural Tamil Nadu, Anand’s tenacity and hands-on approach saw him navigate the complexities of commercial construction with remarkable ease. Over the years, his roles have evolved – from skilled worker to subcontractor, contractor, and promoter – but his core principles of dedication, relationship-building, and integrity remain unchanged. Under his leadership, Shivani has grown exponentially, creating strong partnerships with clients and delivering successful, high-impact projects.
Anand’s vision for the company remains ambitious, as he continues to lead Shivani with humility, innovation, and a hunger for growth. His ability to manage large teams and foster meaningful collaborations with subcontractors has made him an indispensable force in the industry. While the company has achieved many milestones, the drive to learn, evolve, and achieve even greater heights is what propels Shivani Engineers and Contractors forward.
Our Growth
Since its inception in 1994, Shivani Engineers and Contractors has grown from a small team to a robust organization. What began with just a few members has flourished into a thriving enterprise with 14 engineers, 25 subcontractors, and 250 workmen, delivering projects worth more than 80 crores. We take pride in our commitment to building spaces that enhance quality of life, create lasting value, and meet the needs of our communities.
